Brian N. Hollander, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Hollander has been providing periodontal and dental implant care in Novato
since 1989.
He has an extensive academic background in health science. Prior to
advanced dentistry training, he completed dual Bachelor degrees in Biology and
Chemistry then earned a Master's degree in Anatomy from UCLA.
He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of
California, San Francisco (UCSF), in 1987. He then began specialized training and
a periodontal residency and earned his Periodontal Certification at UCSF in 1989.
During his tenure at UCSF, Dr. Hollander was awarded the Outstanding Senior
Performance Award from both the American Equilibration Society and the American
Academy of Periodontology. He also engaged in clinical research and
published findings on pain management and oral irrigation. Having served on the faculty at UCSF since 1993, he is currently an Associate Clinical professor. He is "region leader" for the California Society of Periodontists (CSP) and is on the peer review committee for the CSP.
Dr. Hollander has continued to engage in advanced clinical training and
licensing to remain at the forefront of his specialty. He is licensed in
I.V. Conscious Sedation, and serves as an evaluator for the state of California for both I.V. and oral conscious sedation. Dr. Hollander attends far more than the required
number of continued education credits each year in order to integrate new
successful techniques into his practice.
Dr. Hollander is an active participant of all relevant professional

He lives in San Anselmo with his wife of twenty-six years and three daughters, and in his free time enjoys all outdoor hobbies and sports.
